Gradient Lips + New Glitteratti Mix Collection by Violent Lips

I recently discovered a really cool technique called Gradient Lip Makeup! It has been around for a while, especially among the Asian community (I think I might be the last Asian to catch up with the trend). ^_^

There are different types of gradient lips but the one I like best is the one that looks like this.:

Bright pink lips going lighter as you go outward. This is a really great way to add a flush of color to your lips at the same time giving it a lightening effect, very daytime friendly and good if you have pigmented lips.

What I used:
Nude Lip Color from my Sephora Palette
Clarins Joli Rough Lipstick Shade 716
Labello Fruitty Shine in Cherry

This is done by applying a nude lipstic/concealer on the outer part of your lips. Then apply a rosier lip stain or reddish lipstick on the inner part of your lips, this gives the illusion of a small babydoll mouth. Then finish off with a tinted lip balm. Blend.

Speaking of gradient lips, Violent Lips has launched a new collection of gradient lip appliques called Glitteratti Mix Collection. The two-tone gradient effect creates the illusion of lip-contouring and plumping for that perfectly shaped pout - with the added bonus of a lighter handbag as the “Glitterati Effect” lasts for up to 8 hours, without the need for conventional lipliner or lipstick.

For those of you who don't know, Violent Lips is a line of natural and vitamin enhanced temporary lip tattoos that stay put "from the stage to the after-party". It is applied and sealed using water much like a temporary tattoo and removes easily with mineral or baby oil and a textured wipe.

The Glitteratti Mix collection is available at Topshop, Faces, Debenhams, IT'S Sugar, Va Va Voom and Iconic acroos the UAEand retails at AED70 to AED80.
